Chair Applications

  While of course the learning experience is the greatest benefit of all, we understand that chairing is a demanding and involved job. 

Thus, in recognition of being picked as one of ten high school chairs for our conference, you will be rewarded with an official certificate of achievement from our team for exemplary writing/chairing skills and 25 hours of volunteering/service hours, signed off by our club advisor & professor Dr. Iheduru.

 To apply, you must fill out the Chair Application form by the deadline and be available/present for the high school chair training. Which will take place on 11/08/2024 at 1:30 p.m. in Tempe, more details to come. 

This is mandatory if you are picked as a high school chair. 

 That's okay!  What we are looking for the most is passion for Model UN, with a reasonable level of experience (1-2 years minimum).

Moreover, we want to reassure potential applications who may be nervous because they do not know too much about chairing. Fear not!  We will be providing a complete and comprehensive chairing script and training for all our high school chairs. Each high school chair will also be partnered with two ASU chairs to help run each committee, so there will be ample opportunities for one to be taught and mentored as a new or experienced chair. 

Our team at ASU just wishes to provide multiple learning opportunities for the passionate high school MUN community of Arizona, so we decided to initiate this opportunity!
