The Arizona State University Model United Nations Club would like to cordially invite you to the 14th Annual session of the SunMUN High School Conference! We are extremely excited to continue hosting our longstanding high school conference at ASU.
The conference will commence on Friday, November 17th, 2023, through Saturday, November 18th, 2023 at the Tempe Campus, ASU. Please note that we reserve the right to alter the dates/location based on the ASU football/Homecoming schedule & available capacity on campus.
Please note that lunch will be provided on both days of the conference along with some light snacks & refreshments! Read further to learn about important deadlines, schedules, and exciting information about our conference this year. Most notably, we are picking ten delegates to be chairs for our conference this year. Please read at this link to learn how to apply!
If you wish to receive feedback on your position paper drafts, please submit a draft by midnight this deadline. You can submit on this page. Please note, this paper will not be counted towards a delegate’s final position paper score nor is it mandatory. This is only for those wishing to receive feedback before submitting their final papers.

Please note that if you would like to be a chair, you must submit your application by this date as well. Find out more information on the Chair Application Page.
Decisions on chairs will be out. Schools will find out decisions through the emails they submit their chair applications through.
3 weeks before our conference, your team must submit a final headcount, with a list of delegate names corresponding with their country and committee selection at this link. Afterwards, we will send your school an invoice for the total payment your school is responsible for. For any dropouts after this deadline, schools will still be responsible for 50% of their delegate fees. You may inform us of any dropouts or additional sign-ups by email and we will send you an updated invoice accordingly after this deadline.
1:30: MANDATORY Chair Training for High School Chairs

DownloadIf you would like to see what countries are available for the 14th Annual Session of SunMUN, please refer to this spreadsheet. This spreadsheet will be updated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note that only the countries highlighted in blue comprise the Security Council nations and we will be restricting each school to one SC P-5 country at the start. Your school will be contacted if we have a vacancy.
